The Singtel Art Project is Singtel’s expression of commitment to the promotion of art and art appreciation.
Singtel’s firm support for Singapore art is anchored by the Singtel corporate art collection. The collection of nearly 200 artworks reflects the country’s historical and contemporary consciousness, while the growing selection of works from across Asia is symbolic of Singtel’s growth as a regional leader in the infocomm technology industry. Many of the artworks belong to the Nanyang style of art, which emerged in Southeast Asia in the mid-20th century, and is largely characterised by the use of Chinese techniques with Western composition styles.
In 2015, Singtel was the founding partner of National Gallery Singapore, a museum dedicated to art in Singapore and Southeast Asia. Apart from housing the world’s largest collection of Southeast Asian art, the museum also stages exhibitions co-curated with renowned museums around the world.
